Mr. Doyle founded Kerlin Capital Group in 1994 following a twenty-two year career in traditional investment banking. Mr. Doyle began his career with Lehman Brothers in New York and rose to Managing Director in Los Angeles where he was one of the senior investment bankers for Lehman on the West Coast (1972-1985). Subsequent to Lehman, Mr. Doyle founded a West Coast investment banking group focused on private equity and M&A for Bankers Trust where he was Managing Director and a member of the IB Management Committee (1985-1987), became Head of the West Coast Investment Banking for Prudential Capital Funding (1987-1991) and ran Smith Barney’s Los Angeles Investment Banking Group (1991-1994).
Mr. Doyle has substantial transactional experience and has managed over 350 transactions for over 125 investment banking clients in a broad range of industries. Mr. Doyle earned his BA in Economics with Honors from Stanford University and his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Doyle currently is a Director of Nationwide Health Properties, a public REIT, a Director of The Air Group, Inc., a private company, and a Trustee of the Beverly Foundation. He has previously been a Director of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and a Trustee of the Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation. Mr. Doyle has been named by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the top mergers and acquisitions executives in Los Angeles.

JOSEPH P. ACHENBAUM

Mr. Achenbaum has been involved with Kerlin Capital Group since 1996. In his twenty-five year career in investment banking, he has been responsible for over 155 financing transactions in excess of $7.5 billion and has completed over 45 merger and acquisition transactions totaling more than $2.0 billion. Mr. Achenbaum began his career in 1975 as an investment professional at Teachers Insurance and beginning in 1982 headed GE Pension Trust's Private Placement Group. During 1983, Mr. Achenbaum was recruited to Smith Barney where he rose to become the partner who headed the Merger and Acquisition Leveraged Buyout Group and the Private Financing Group at Smith Barney. In 1993, Mr. Achenbaum joined Bank of America where he headed the Equity-Linked Private Placement Group.
In 1996, Mr. Achenbaum founded his own investment banking firm, Achenbaum Capital Partners, LLC (“ACP”) based in Stamford, Connecticut to provide customized investment banking services to middle market companies. ACP and Kerlin have collaborated on over a dozen M&A and financing assignments and Joe has continuously acted as a Senior Advisor to Kerlin. In 2005, ACP changed its name to Winston Advisors, LLC. In 2006, Mr. Achenbaum agreed to increase his involvement with Kerlin and serve on Kerlin’s management committee. Mr. Achenbaum is a graduate of Union College with a BA in Economics, and received his MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago.

MARK D. MICHAUD

Mr. Michaud joined Kerlin in 2007 and has ten years of experience in investment banking. He started his career in 1996 with the JPMorgan Investment Banking Group in New York and was initially responsible for developing proprietary financial forecasting models, as well as training investment bankers in financial modeling. Soon thereafter, Mr. Michaud transferred to Hong Kong, where he was responsible for numerous mergers and acquisitions assignments throughout Asia. With JPMorgan Hong Kong, Mr. Michaud rose to the position of Vice President. In 2004, Mr. Michaud joined DBS Bank in Singapore as a Senior Vice President, and was responsible for mergers, acquisitions, and corporate development. Mr. Michaud returned to the United States in 2006, where he acted as a corporate finance consultant prior to joining Kerlin.
Mr. Michaud earned his MBA in Investment Management and Management Science from Pace University in New York, and his B.Sc. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.

Mr. Sexton joined Kerlin in 2002 and has over five years of experience in investment banking. Prior to joining Kerlin, Mr. Sexton was a financial analyst for Accenture Ltd., where he specialized in financial modeling, budgeting and financial reporting. In addition, his responsibilities included analyzing numerous outsourcing engagements for several large utility companies to determine profitability based on strategic objectives. Mr. Sexton graduated from the University of Miami where he received a BBA, cum laude, with a concentration in accounting.
Mr. Sexton has worked on a number of mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, financings and strategic planning assignments covering a broad range of industries. Mr. Sexton’s transaction experience at Kerlin includes among others AECOM’s private equity financing with JP Morgan Partners and Weston Presidio; Del Monte Foods Company’s divestiture of Techni-Cal to an international buyer; the merger of LERETA Corp. with LandAmerica Financial Group; the acquisition of Neurosmith, LLC by Small World Kids Inc.; Edelbrock Corp.’s going private transaction; the recapitalization of Thomson Plastics, Inc. by Altus Capital Partners; the acquisition of Colliers Seeley International by FirstService Corporation; the acquisition of McCann’s Engineering & Mfg. Co. by The Manitowoc Co.; and most recently Farmer Bros. Co.’s acquisition of Coffee Bean International.

JASON M. KIREDJIAN

Mr. Kiredjian joined Kerlin Capital Group in 2008 upon completing his MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to joining Kerlin, Mr. Kiredjian worked with Parallel Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm focused on growth company investments. Mr. Kiredjian began his career in turnaround management, working most recently with the firm Alvarez and Marsal, where he advised distressed public and private companies and served in interim management roles. Mr. Kiredjian holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor (CIRA).
Mr. Kiredjian has worked on divestitures, recapitalizations, financings and strategic planning assignments covering a broad range of industries. Notable advisory engagements include the public reorganizations of Sun Healthcare, Warnaco, Spiegel Catalog, Amerco (parent of U-Haul), and Genuity, as well as serving in interim financial management roles with the Prandium Restaurant Group and Crescent Jewelers. He has also served as a financial advisor to the creditors of numerous Southern California businesses including Enterprise Industries, PaperPak Industries and Rembrant Photo Services. Mr. Kiredjian received his undergraduate degree with honors from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Mr. Nieto joined Kerlin Capital Group in 2005 after graduating from Stanford University. During his undergraduate studies he was a Summer Associate at DASAR and Red Herring and was a Financial Analyst intern at Morgan Stanley. He graduated from Stanford with a BA in International Relations with a focus in Comparative and International Political Economy.
Mr. Nieto has worked on a number of mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, financings and strategic planning assignments covering a broad range of industries. Mr. Nieto’s transaction experience at Kerlin includes among others the acquisition of Kings County Truck Line by Ruan Transportation, the acquisition of Colliers Seeley International by FirstService Corporation, the acquisition of McCann’s Engineering & Mfg. Co. by The Manitowoc Co and the buyout of a significant interest in a family company “Project Green”, which included the raising of $250 million of senior debt.

Mr. Morris was recruited to Kerlin Capital Group in 2006, following his work at Sanford Wittels & Heisler, LLP as a Senior Legal Assistant. While at Sanford, Wittels & Heisler, LLP, Mr. Morris participated in the development of litigation involving major pharmaceutical companies. His previous work experience includes a position as a financial intern at Smith Barney/Citigroup, where he was primarily responsible for research and due diligence on venture capital investments. Mr. Morris graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Sociology, where he was captain of the tennis team. His experience includes most recently the acquisition of Coffee Bean International by Farmer Bros. Co.

Ms. Johnson joined Kerlin Capital Group in 2006 and has over 20 years of accounting experience and has provided services for companies throughout Los Angeles. Ms. Johnson also founded a small non-profit organization, Johnson’s Entrepreneur Development Services, Inc., which provides business consultation to non-profit organizations. Ms. Johnson has earned an AA Degree from L.A. Trade Technical College in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting, a Certificate of Completion from UCLA in Fund Raising / Non-Profit Management, and a BS Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Entrepreneurship from California State University, Los Angeles. De’bora acts as Kerlin’s administrator and controller.
