Grocers and four of its members have acquired nine Petrini’s
grocery stores from Bay Area Foods, Inc.
September
1996 – Kerlin assisted Certified in evaluating
the grocery store properties, developed a proposal that enabled
Certified to secure exclusive control of the properties, and
created an internal bidding process to allow Certified’s
retail members to purchase the individual stores. As part of
the transaction with retail members, Certified obtained new and/or
improved supply contracts from the new and existing retail customers.
