McCann’s Engineering & Mfg. Co. has been acquired by The Manitowoc Company, Inc.

May 2006 – Kerlin was engaged by McCann’s Engineering & Mfg. Co. to assist the Company in a possible sale to maximize shareholder value. Kerlin and the Company explored a number of different alternatives which resulted in the decision to pursue one carefully selected strategic buyer based on the perceived culture and synergies. Kerlin and management worked diligently with The Manitowoc Company to create a unified interest and understanding of value which resulted in a purchase price exceeding expectations. McCann’s is a 55-year old company based in Los Angeles, CA engaged in the design and manufacture of beverage dispensing equipment primarily used in fast food restaurants, stadiums, cafeterias and convenience stores. The acquisition will allow Manitowoc to leverage McCann’s existing relationship with Coca-Cola as well as expand the Company’s current manufacturing operations in Mexico.
