Thomspon Plastics, Inc. has been recapitalized by Altus Capital Partners, L.P..

April 2005 – Kerlin served as the financial advisor to Thomson Plastics, Inc. in a leveraged recapitalization by Altus Capital Partners. Thomson Plastics, headquartered in Thomson, Georgia, produces and supplies complex custom injection molded plastic parts through closely integrated operations with three significant core customers in the golf car and lawn & garden industry. Kerlin's "controlled auction" process enabled the shareholders to access the private equity investment community on a highly targeted, confidential basis with minimal disruption to the company's day-to-day business operations. The final transaction included a combination of senior debt, mezzanine debt, sponsor and management equity. The transaction achieved a significant return over the original investment for the selling shareholders while providing management with a new incentive for equity participation and fresh capital to support the future growth of the business.
